De Gruyter Mouton
For the first time, this volume shows the benefits of a praxeological approach to linguistics. It conceives of language, text, behavior, and communication as “practices.” A focus is placed on processuality, materiality, embodiment, and social routines. Instead of regarding language as an autonomous system, it looks at how actors use language in the context of embodied practices as shaped by social and cultural history.
