Transformations Journal

Transformations is an independent, double-blind peer-reviewed electronic journal addressing the transformative processes of new technologies and mediating practices that change the way we think, feel and interact with others both in a contemporary and historical sense. Each year the journal publishes up to two “themed” issues, focusing on a particular concept, writer or issue emerging from contemporary theory and practice. The journal welcomes writing from the perspective of cultural theory, critical philosophy, aesthetics, media studies and other humanities approaches: prospective authors should view the “author information” section of this website for guidelines on submissions.

The Journal of Radio & Audio Media

The Journal of Radio & Audio Media is a semiannual publication designed to promote scholarly dialogues generated by various disciplinary and methodological points of view. The Journal welcomes interdisciplinary inquiries regarding radio’s contemporary and historical subject matter as well as those audio media that have challenged radio’s traditional use. Scholars are invited to submit articles pertaining to any area of radio and audio media. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, formats and programming, new technology, policy and regulation, rating systems, commercial and noncommercial networks, radio history, management and innovation, personalities, popular cultures, uses and effects studies, propaganda, social movements, advertising and sales, market concentration, Internet and satellite radio, podcasting, alternative formats, diversity, gender and international radio.

The radio journal: International Studies in Broadcast and Audio Media

The Radio Journal is committed to high-quality, diverse research in the arena of radio and sound media, from broadcast to podcast and all in between. We look for articles that explore the production, circulation and reception of radio and creative soundwork, addressing historical and contemporary issues in sound-based journalism and media studies from a wide range of national and transnational perspectives.

The Media Psychology Review 

The Media Psychology Review is an academic online journal for Media Psychology. The mission of the Media Psychology Research Center is to promote media psychology as an interdisciplinary and emerging field by bridging the research-practice gap and creating a platform for international discussion that expands the frontiers of Media Psychology across traditional and emerging technologies. The journal hopes to promote the transformation of Media Psychology to a field that is cross-disciplinary in theoretical framework, approach, and application.

Journal of Advertising

The Journal of Advertising, is the premier journal devoted to the development of advertising theory and its relationship to practice. All research related to all types of advertising will be considered for publication. This includes advertising effectiveness, advertising ethics, global advertising issues, and methodological issues, along with the economic, political, social, and environmental aspects of advertising. The International Journal of Press/Politics (IJPP) is an interdisciplinary journal for the analysis and discussion of the role of the press and politics in a globalized world. The Journal publishes theoretical and empirical research which analyzes the linkages between the news media and political processes and actors.
