TELOS se enmarca en las actividades del Área de Conocimiento en Red de Fundación Telefónica, encargada de la creación, el debate y la divulgación del conocimiento. TELOS aspira a ser un referente latinoamericano en el análisis de los cambios y en la prospectiva de lo que está por llegar en una sociedad interconectada y global. Los viejos mapas no sirven y el conocimiento abierto, participativo y colaborativo es imprescindible para desarrollar una nueva cultura en un mundo que se atisba apasionante.

This international scientific journal is a peer-reviewed open-access journal, published in electronic and print editions. The journal, launched in 2013, publishes special issues and original articles. It accepts papers in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish.

Studies in Spanish & Latin American Cinemas

In 2013, Studies in Hispanic Cinemas, is changing its name to Studies in Spanish & Latin American Cinemas to reflect more accurately its content, which is dedicated to the study of Spanish-speaking and Latin American cinemas, including the cinemas of Spain and Spanish-speaking South, Central and North America including the Caribbean, as well as Brazil. Our target readership includes students, teachers and scholars. The journal is written in English to maximize the opportunities for contact between academic disciplines such as Media, Film Studies, Latin American and Post-colonial Studies, as well as Hispanic Studies, thereby encouraging an inter- cultural and inter- disciplinary focus.

Studies in South Asian Film & Media

Studies in South Asian Film & Media is a double-blind peer-reviewed publication committed to looking at the media and cinemas of the Indian subcontinent in their social, political, economic, historical, and increasingly globalized and diasporic contexts. The journal will evaluate these topics in relation to class, caste, gender, race, sexuality and ideology.

Studies in Russian & Soviet Cinema

Studies in Russian & Soviet Cinema focuses on pre-revolutionary, Soviet and post- Soviet film, its aesthetic development, and its position between ideology and industry. SRSC invites contributions that constitute original research. The journal seeks to promote research from established scholars as well as to encourage researchers new to the field.

Studies in Communication Sciences

SComS is an international journal of communication research that is jointly edited by the Swiss Association of Communication and Media Studies (SGKM) and the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI Lugano). SComS aims to build bridges between different research cultures, and publishes high-quality original articles in English, German, French, and Italian. Its contents encompass the broad range of communication-related disciplines, in particular the analysis of public communication, based on social scientific methods. As a general forum for communication scholarship, the journal is especially interested in research that crosses disciplinary boundaries. As SComS is based in Switzerland at the German, French and Italian-speaking intersections of the world, the journal aims to showcase the developments in communication sciences in these language areas. The journal publishes full papers as well as short articles, e.g. position papers, event reports, and book reviews. Authors are invited to submit original papers that are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Sphera Publica

Sphera Publica es una plataforma de referencia para la difusión de trabajos de investigación de profesores en el amplio campo de las Ciencias de la Comunicación. La revista acoge contribuciones científicas inéditas y de calidad, tanto de enfoque eminentemente teórico como empírico, poniendo de relieve los debates conceptuales vigentes en el ámbito científico, así como los casos de estudio más paradigmáticos.

Speech Communication

Speech Communication is an interdisciplinary journal whose primary objective is to fulfil the need for the rapid dissemination and thorough discussion of basic and applied research results. In order to establish frameworks to inter-relate results from the various areas of the field, emphasis will be placed on viewpoints and topics of a transdisciplinary nature.

Social Semiotics

Social Semiotics is a peer reviewed journal that publishes high quality papers that deal with the study of semiotic resources and practices including words, images, behaviours, settings, sounds, design, etc., and the way these are connected to the organization of societies and everyday lives. Articles must focus on a specific semiotic phenomenon and embody, in their argument and conclusion, a critique of the limitations on and variations in the ways in which semiotic resources/practices may perpetuate biases, imbalance or legitimize and maintain kinds of power interests. Semiotic analysis in articles might draw on linguistic analysis, visual analysis, content analysis, ethnography, interviews, as well as production studies, and can be tied to political economy. The journal especially welcomes papers that analyse everyday phenomena and the sociopolitical significance of representations.
