Cybernetics and Human Knowing
This first issue of 2117 contains two contemporary articles as well as a historical and previously unpublished article by Gregory Bateson from 1965. All of these articles involve a creative rethinking of accepted wisdom in the scientific disciplines, a rethinking which is accomplished by novel uses of ideas from cybernetics and information, as well as, explicitly or implicitly, semiotics.
