The Arab Media & Society website produces and curates diverse content examining media and life in the Arab region and diaspora. This includes reporting, analysis, interviews, reviews of books, conferences, and films, a podcast, and more.
Our online publication has a rich history of quality contributions to the field of media research and analysis. Founded in the 1998 as Transnational Broadcasting Studies, the change to Arab Media & Society in 2007 came as a response to the quickly evolving media space. The journal has operated as a hybrid publication; offering detailed academic analysis, long-form journalism and multimedia content, including our podcast.
Arab Media & Society is published by the Adham Center for Television and Digital Journalism in the School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the American University in Cairo and indexed by Scopus-Elsevier.
