REDES.COM es una revista científica internacional editada por el Núcleo Multimedia e Internet de la Universidad de Brasilia y el Grupo Interdisciplinario de Estudios en Comunicación, Política y Cambio Social (COMPOLITICAS) de la Junta de Andalucía, creada para aportar a la comunidad académica y a los profesionales de la comunicación nuevos conocimientos y herramientas analíticas para el estudio y transformación del sistema informativo, desde principios filosóficos y culturales que contribuyan a la socialización colectiva de los medios, tecnologías y procesos de información y comunicación públicos. La edición digital de la Revista de Estudios para el Desarrollo Social de la Comunicación pretende, en este empeño, contribuir semestralmente a desarrollar un productivo espacio de diálogo cultural y un intercambio de ideas que permita la construcción de una cultura académica basada en el “lenguaje de los vínculos”, articulando el pensamiento crítico latinoamericano en espacios de referencia supranacional, como la Unión Latina de Economía Política de la Información, la Comunicación y la Cultura (ULEPICC), REDECOM o CLACSO. La apuesta por una visión progresista y emancipadora de la comunicación, y el compromiso intelectual de la teoría con las necesidades de la producción social de la comunicación como cooperación democrática y constructiva, constituyen pues las principales señas de identidad de REDES.COM, y definen la filosofía y la línea editorial.

It was established in 2002 to meet the need for readily available, quality controlled public relations and communication research materials online, and published its first issue in 2003. PRism is supported by a diverse and distinguished editorial board comprising 50 international academics with extensive scholarly and practical public relations and communication expertise. Board members are particularly dedicated to the support and encouragement of new scholarship in public relations and communication, through detailed and constructive refereeing.

The Journal of Intercultural Communication Research ( JICR ) is a publication of the World Communication Association. JICR publishes qualitative and quantitative research that focuses on interrelationships between culture and communication. Generally, research published in JICR emphasizes non-mediated contexts. Submitted manuscripts may report results from either cross-cultural comparative research or results from other types of research concerning the ways culture affects human symbolic activities. Studies reporting data from within a single nation/culture should focus on cultural factors and explore the theoretical or practical relevance of their findings from a cross-cultural perspective.
