Rhetorical scholarship traverses and mobilizes many different intellectual, archival, disciplinary, and political vectors, traditions, and methods, and QJS seeks to honor and engage such differences.

L'esperit de Llengua, Societat i Comunicació és posar a l'abast de la societat el treball realitzat en el món universitari per tal que pugui revertir-hi d'una manera pràctica. D'acord amb aquest objectiu, la revista ha tret a la llum una sèrie de monogràfics que poden ser d'interès social i que se centren en temes com el model lingüístic de la Constitució espanyola, la comunicació i l'empresa, l'ensenyament de llengües estrangeres o la política lingüística a la Unió Europea. La revista que presentem, amb una periodicitat anual, conté una sèrie d'articles que estan acompanyats per resums en català, castellà i anglès. També conté un recull de premsa que inclou alguns articles apareguts als mitjans de comunicació relacionats amb el tema central de cada número, i una llista d'enllaços d'interès que poden proporcionar més informació sobre el que s'hi llegirà. LSC es pot consultar a través de la pàgina web i també es pot llegir en suport paper, un cop impresos els documents en pdf que contenen els diferents articles. Els lectors que estiguin interessats a enviar algun comentari als autors dels articles, ho poden fer mitjançant l'etiqueta enviar un comentari, que es troba al final de cada article
